This is the country Republicans want: An 81-year-old Ohio man William Brock has been charged with murder after he took the law in his own hands and shot and killed an innocent Uber driver he thought was trying to scam him. Turns out however, all was not how it seemed. Brock says he had received a phone call earlier in the day from someone purporting to be the court seeking a bond for a family member who had been incarcerated. The conversation became darker when the person on the phone switched their story and said the loved one was actually being held hostage and they demanded ransom. That’s when the scammers allegedly called an Uber to pick up money. That’s when 61-year-old Loletha Hall is arrived to pick up the package. When Brock arrived to her home, unaware of the scammer plot, Brock shot and killed her. Brock was indicted on 3 counts of murder, 1 count of felonious assault and one count of kidnapping. What are your thoughts? Why didn’t he call the police? Why shoot her?
@CalltoActivism It doesn’t help when sitting US senators like Tom Cotton are telling folks to take the law into their own hands. 🤦♀️
@CalltoActivism I like how you leave out the part where @Uber has banned the account that requested the package pickup in the first place. There was a scam. Was she involved? Maybe not, but let's not make this about race.
@CalltoActivism From a European perspective just the one question to all Americans - How in Gods name have you been reduced to this ?
@CalltoActivism Too much of this going on. Swatting phony dark phones calls and always and, innocent persons trying trying to make a living. What has this country become??😢😢😢🤬
@CalltoActivism Why shoot her? Because the politicians in this country have people believing they can get away with murder.
@CalltoActivism @Jim_Jordan 🚨🚨Breaking News 🚨🚨 Gym Jordan’s state of Ohio where civilians go around shooting Uber drivers for no apparent reason. Yet Gym will keep gaslighting you about immigrants doing crime in America. Gym should stay off of Fox News for 1 day & handle his own state 🤡
@CalltoActivism My Mom fell for this scam to the point where the cab had shown up to take her to the bank. Luckily, I called her to say Hi & she told me what was happening. I told her to do nothing & I'd be right there. I got there & told the cabbie it was a scam & to take off. Called cops.
