More reports why Sony is trying to end physical discs: - They want to cut out the middle man, to make more profit per sale (like remove walmart cuts etc) - Sony thinks the fanbase will not switch platforms, they can do what they please without losing fans - They are convinced by ignoring this issue, they fans will just accept the changes and convert to 100% digital with time. - Sony thinks they are "too big to have commination with fans". Talking to fans has no margin benefit, so they refuse to address fans and will keep doing so I have lost all trust and goodwill with PlayStation, no words what is happening right now. Horrible company

@catgirlprostate Cartridges are crazy expensive and are still slower than the internal storage/microSD express. IIRC some devs skipped cartridges for physical switch 2 releases because they didnt find the speeds ideal for the game.

Please read and understand what Sony is doing it trying to FORCE DIGITAL games! Because this is all games sold, not all games that have physical copies and digital! When it's more mp then it goes down to more digital. But please don't just listen to the 78%/22% split, those numbers are overall numbers and don't represent the full story AS YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE! Because it's not a fair comparison since all games don't have a physical copy or eventually stop printing it. They are trying to paint a narrative to control prices and take ownership from you, that is the truth and spread it!

@ZhugeEX Its not even a “boycott” for me, it just means i straight up cant afford the system. Not being able to play my physical games on the shiny new console and having to rebuy them is just a major dealbreaker for me.

@Lucas7yoshi_RS Idk i feel like we need to see more of the game, RDR2 and GTAV did the exact same stuff and it turned out that content was absolutely not worth paying extra for. R* intentionally didnt release gameplay so they can make the Ultimate edition seem like substantial content.

@KabiPlays Going by RDR2’s track record, that had an ultimate edition that had a whole heist + couple side missions locked to it. And they were not worth it at all. Just get the standard, u can upgrade later anyways.

@BeskInfinity 70$ games are priced 80 euros tho. I imagine this means that the game is 80$.

@UltimaShadowX @MightyKeef Nah i doubt this will go even higher than 80$, keep in mind they need as much people as possible for GTA Online so having a 100$ price tag is gonna eat into that.

@KabiPlays God of War Laufey and OoT remake were competing for most numbers in summer, and then a basic cover art reveal beats them in like 30mins lol.

@PlayerEssence @Genki_JPN Nintendo wouldn’t slow down development of the next Zelda title just so they can make an OoT remake internally, its probably given to MonolithSoft and the Zelda team is just giving them new material + supervising.

@PlayerEssence @Genki_JPN Idk i interpreted “updated designs” as updated character designs/art direction which is what Star Fox also does. Also i doubt the zelda team is the main dev behind this, they are probably focused on the next mainline game and nintendo rarely does in house remakes.

@NathanielBandy1 I think people are expecting way too much out of OoT Remake, its most likely gonna be voice acting + major visual overhaul but it will have pretty much the same gameplay with few QOL, don’t expect smth like FF7 Remake or Silent Hill 2. Nintendo is conservative with remakes IIRC.

@UltimaShadowX OoT and Duskbloods essentially being no shows is fucking insane to me. It actually soured me off on the Direct.
