Cunha and Endrick are much better footballers than Paqueta and Thiago. Casemiro been terrible as well (life without Kobbie…). Unironically probably need Ederson on for him given their lack of midfield legs in the squad.

@ReeceLSport Could be stronger in duels and occasionally goes missing a little bit. However, one of the best pure finishers I’ve seen in the NL. 17 league goals from a team that created minimal chances for him. Lots of potential to work with for sure and a goal threat in any game state.

@analyzingfutbol Leon quite frankly shouldn’t be thought about until he shows he’s worth thinking about and personally Collyer’s well off the level required and is always injured. In most positions there’s a way in if ur truly good enough.

@analyzingfutbol This assumes all our signings workout. That rarely happens. 1 failed signing in midfield and an injury to 1 of the good ones and a youth player is needed. Amass and Devaney aren’t gonna be rushing away for PL starter minutes this season. Amass/Kukonki can replace Shaw in 2027.

@analyzingfutbol Personally if ur good enough there’ll be a pathway (GKs is an exception as there’s rly only 1 guy who can truly hold the position). Outfield position situations can change so quickly and it’s rare we have multiple quality options to block a genuinely good enough young talent.

@analyzingfutbol Tbh I don’t see an issue. It’s just bad timing for Vitek. We couldn’t give him the pressure of replacing Onana, that wouldn’t have been fair and the scouts elected for Lammens. This stuff will happen with GKs. Devaney will need another loan anyway and Amass has a pathway.

On Bruno, I don’t think the succession plan should be to try and find a like for like replacement anyway. You’d have to recruit perfectly and get so lucky. Bruno’s don’t just come along all the time. It’s probably optimal to reshape the positions around him.

At the right price, you take quality if it isn’t stunting other signings. You sign him for a fair price after mids and LB is done, you can’t complain that much. Also having Rogers, Cunha and Gabriel gives you a no10 cushion when Bruno’s done, despite differing profiles.

I’m seeing a lot of negative discourse about United potentially signing Rogers. I wouldn’t want an overpay on someone who isn’t a touchline winger but I think Cunha’s shown when pushed slightly wider that top players make it work and Rogers is a top player.

@thatsamybad Played very well for a period in his first season. His first real dip in form of his career while trying to bulk up, whilst already in a development phase this season. He’s faced his big physical and mental challenges. If he gets over them, there’s a top player there.
