Let’s do some mock drafts today! I have my round 1 predictions in, but I would love to go through some situations using the board that I’ve created.
Bears Mock Draft #1 Multiple trade backs from 75. Going outside of 100 usually isn’t the go to. I feel like I got good value though.
1. Caleb Williams The obvious pick. Tape speaks for itself. You guys have heard enough.
9. WR Rome Odunze Comp: Mike Evans Odunze is arguably WR 1 in this draft. From the outside in. WR here doesn’t make sense schematically (Waldron runs mainly 12 personnel). However, Keenan Allen is on a one year deal, and often injured. Odunze is a solid X option.
106. OG Brandon Coleman A lot of people may argue against trading back out of 100. We found a lot of value. Coleman is a great athlete who can develop as a starting guard with both of ours oft-injured/under performing.
120. OC Beaux Limmer Another IOL depth piece. Poles loves to double dip in drafts. Drafting multiple DTs and DBs in drafts prior. The offensive interior is not only deep now, but has a lot of athletes. Both Limmer and Coleman graded very high RAS scores.
123. TE Jaheim Bell Jaheim is a great development project as a U/Move TE. I had a 3rd/4th round grade on him. He’s undersized, but a good athlete overall.
146. EDGE Jonah Ellis I love Jonah Ellis definitely has a good motor. He doesn’t give up on plays. I think he could serve as decent depth to our DL. Behind Walker and Dexter, we could have a decent group opposite of Sweat.
188. WR Ainias Smith I have Ainias graded much higher than most. Hence why I took him here. He is very fast and a great route runner. Sort of reminds me of Antonio Brown. He has value as a returner, and will be competition at this spot vs Velus. youtu.be/0x2RAAaGHR4?si…
This is the first of the mock draft situations I will break down. I will do another one tomorrow! #beardown #NFLDraft2024
