For generations of fans, John Sterling has been THE voice of the Yankees. As a kid, player, and now retired, I’ve had the privilege of being a witness throughout my career. Congrats on an incredible career John and thank you for your commitment and impact on this club & the sport of baseball 🙏🏾
@CC_Sabathia became a baseball fan at 10 years old listening to John on the radio every single day. he has missed like 3 games since that happened 🤣🤣 iconic career
@CC_Sabathia Used to sit out in the car on my breaks when I worked nights and catch the games. Being in Indiana, some nights it would come in great, other times it was rough, but Sterling always painted an amazing picture.
@CC_Sabathia He became the voice after the greatest of all time, The Scooter……big shoes to fill but John did it magnificently
@CC_Sabathia Johns wife when he starts doing HR calls at home
@CC_Sabathia From one legend to another, well said CC!
@CC_Sabathia It just won’t be the same without him. Just like it isn’t the same without you. ⚾️💙
@CC_Sabathia @YESNetwork Watching the out of state games on tv I would always listen to the radio broadcast instead of the tv. JS and SW were always so great to hear.
@CC_Sabathia John was latest in a long career of legendary broadcasters for the Yankees. As a kid I sat in the porch and listened to Mel Allen, Red Barber. Later on Frank Messer, Bill White, Scooter. Many thanks for the memories!
@CC_Sabathia It’s one thing that fans really love this guy, but to see the Players love for him is 100% GOAT
