The CBC has joined other news broadcasters and publishers in requesting Canada's Competition Bureau to investigate Meta's decision to block news content on its digital platforms in Canada. cbc.ca/news/politics/…
@CBCNews I imagine Meta will eventually back down like they did when Australia went this route. If they don't, I really don't see the harm in Canadians getting their news from the source instead of filtered through Facebook.
@CBCNews So CBC wants to force Meta to allow its content and then force them to pay for it using the online news act? Wow....
@CBCNews Competition Bureau to investigate after they look into groceries, housing, phone and internet providers, right? ... right?
@CBCNews So Meta called your bluff and you're pissed now? Good for you.
@CBCNews So funny they want their cake and eat it tooooo so msm/liberal think.
@CBCNews Go right ahead. I’m just glad the people of Facebook get a break for your disgusting lies and propaganda. Keep fighting. Never give up. Lol.
@CBCNews While they are at it, could they investigate the reasons for which you are unable to monetize your content, despite receiving approx. $3 billions in subsidies (CBC-RC)? Why on earth would Meta buy what you can’t sell?
