What does a child learn from an AI toy that never says no? The key finding is not the panic headline. It is the behavior pattern underneath it. UW and Rutgers researchers observed eight children, ages 6 to 11, playing with Curio AI toys. Early interactions looked social: the children shared names, birthdays, favorite things, phone numbers, and details about friends. Then the testing began.
