Disabled man on a mobility scooter and his dog attacked by what he says was a XL Bully/Staffy type dog in the early hours in Hartlepool. The dog survived but received significant injuries to its head and face and left the man with a high vet bill.

Air ambulance called last Friday after a woman was attacked by her own XL Bully in Northwood in her own home. She sustained a significant leg injury. The dog has since been put down.

@BullyWatchUK This situation is not going to get better for a long time. There are still many thousands of unregistered XLs out there as well as legal standard, classic and pocket bullies - all of which are capable of causing grievous harm... We are in this situation for several years..

@BullyWatchUK A GCS of 8 or less means the person is basically in a coma and needs to be intubated and put on a ventilator. This means that 17.2% of people that were attacked by pit bulls arrived to the ED completely unresponsive compared to 0% for other breeds.

@BullyWatchUK @RSPCA_official Good letter. The RSPCA acts like an official extension of the government on enforcement operations and its role in setting policy, but on activism and campaigning they reject the transparency that the government is required to give. Can't have it both ways.
