if you only listen to BTS and BLACKPINK, MeloDNA was writing your song in English Lastfm, K-pop tags don't include language. the AI had no idea. fixed it with a known-artists lookup. it now writes in the right language. (the vocal gender inference was an unplanned 20-min bonus)
I used to spend weeks on architecture decisions. Now I ask one question: "Will this matter when I have 100 users?" The answer is almost always no. Companies with heavy tech debt spend 10-20% more on engineering. But at 50 users? That debt doesn't exist yet. Ship the simple version. Refactor when the pain is real, not imagined.

found something that's been living in my head rent free for the past few days
I recently added a free trial to foreclosuredatahub.com. Very quickly I noticed some users signing up and trying to export as much data as possible during the trial, then cancelling before billing or using empty/invalid cards so payment fails. Classic free trial behavior. So I added two guardrails: • Export limits during trial • Option to skip trial and get charged instantly Still keeping it accessible for real users, just preventing abuse. Building SaaS always teaches you something new.
