If you have credit card debt, it should be the only thing you focus on. I wouldn’t even take the company match in a 401k. Credit card debt is not a math problem. It’s a behavior problem.
@Budgetdog_ If you have HIGH INTEREST credit card debt. If the debt is 0% for 6, 12, or 36 months, you can let that marinate, just don't forget about it!
@Budgetdog_ Slightly disagree, I use my credit card for safety and insurances that come with it. The balance is paid off at the end of each month, but I get free travel insurance on flights, free extended warranty on big ticket purchases. I had a washing machine with a 5 yr warranty 1/2
@Budgetdog_ this is one of the only times I'd consider not taking the 401k match
@Budgetdog_ Reverse compounding 📉😬
@Budgetdog_ I wouldn't go that far. Company match on 401k is 100% guaranteed return. Paying credit cards is the return of the compounding interest rate.
