We’re going to talk about Darwinian evolution today on DorkHorse. 11:30am Pacific. What’s wrong with our model, and what’s right with it—and why so many people are confused. rumble.com/v4rcj3o-the-22…

@BretWeinstein Has there ever been direct observation of one species evolving into a new species? Genuine Q.
@BretWeinstein Darwin didn’t know about DNA his theory of evolution is challenged. Why do we hold so tight to people in history, like Einstein also, who theories are also being taken apart by new developments in maths and engineering? E=mc squared, maybe on Earth, but in a black hole?
Plato’s cave is a metaphor that shows what we perceive might very well be reflections/shadows of some higher order more precise version of reality. Sort of like how 3d items would look to entities in a 2d flat world. Common philosophical tropes. What oddities in reality might make you suspicious/curious whether you were seeing a shadow of something more…or only 3d of a 4? If your position on evolution is falsifiable, it’d be interesting to know where the “line” is that would make you say “huh, I think there’s more to this system than meets the eye?”
@BretWeinstein I suppose some would consider believing in Evolution to be in the domain of "dorks".
@BretWeinstein Sorry, but I think you need to talk to opposition researchers, not to yourselves.
Great episode...as always. But I don't think it will quite the 'the jury is still out on evolution' crowd, which I am a member of. Why? At 38:50 "We just don't know a ton". And because there could be 'WTH... we never imagined that!' in that ton, an open mind to the theory just makes sense. It's not a dismissal, it's just leaving room for the unimagined. After the last few years I'm sure you both understand the need to question everything.
@BretWeinstein You neglected to mention what we're all thinking... Who won that zoom call and book from last week? 😂
