An entire generation of church kids like me heard their fellow Christians scream “character matters!” when it came to Bill Clinton’s moral failings. Only to watch all moral standards fly out the window when it came to Donald Trump. This is what happens when you worship power.
@Brcremer @L_A_Perry They raised us to be moralists and are now offended that we are still moralists!
@Brcremer Yes, that really bother's me too. But, Clinton was elected as a steward of government. People are looking to Trump to be a warrior, for whatever reason. Warriors have warts.
@Brcremer Trump has never used a cigar as a sex aid with a 21 year old intern in the Oval.
@Brcremer This isn’t a choice between Trump and Christ. It is the choice between Trump or authoritarian fascists.
@Brcremer Hate to say it, but when TFG in 2016 during the Iowa Caucus said that if he were elected, “Christianity will have power,” was the moment I knew he’d be the Republican candidate.
@Brcremer Christianity turned me into an atheist.
@Brcremer If you are waiting for a saint to run the country it won’t happen. The choice is clear. Marxist atheists, or a nation run on Christian values and a constitution that protects those principles led by an imperfect man.
@Brcremer But gas prices were $0.70 a gallon and McDonalds had $0.39 cheeseburgers. No one gave a crap cause they were happy.
@Brcremer What they actually meant is that politics matter. And despite the high horse you perceive yourself to be riding, that’s exactly what you mean as well.
