Day 263: So no pain after the anesthetic wore off. Didn’t need the two types of painkiller I was advised to get. I haven’t been brushing near the area but every so often I can feel the stitches with my tongue. Will give it a few days before inspecting further. #adultbraces
Day 259: Had my extraction and crown lengthening this morning. The tooth seemed to come out easily and quickly but the crown lengthening took a little time and felt weird. Have six stitches. Still numb so not sure how sore it will be just yet...

Day 207: First update in ages. Had Ortho appointment today. My last appointment and this one have involved putting in heavier wire to build me up to the “1925 Steel”?? next time. I must ask more about this but I was in a hurry this morning... #adultbraces
Day 166: Haven’t tweeted in a while. Mostly because everything has been going fine. No pain or sensitivity these days. Even after my last adjustment, when I was expecting tenderness, there wasn’t any. Long may it last... #adultbraces #braces

10: Some people notice my braces but the vast majority don’t. It’s also pretty clear at this point that nobody really cares. After 100 days I can honestly say that the overall experience so far has been very positive. #adultbraces

I got the metal ones and I'm super self conscious. Although I read the metal ones leave less resin when they come off and maybe even work faster than the clear ones. Will have to ask my orthodontist on my next visit. #adultbraces

@BracesDiary Yes, there is some different opinions about what levels of Ed Sheerin exposure is safe in the workplace. Most of my nurses can't get enough of him, for patients is variable. My threshold can be exceeded dangerously by mid morning. @swordsorthoinfo
Worth telling the world. Orthodontics is generally not painful. Separators are more of a nuisance than a discomfort. x.com/bracesdiary/st…
I should point out that getting the spacers put in was not painful and while eating is less easy I'm not experiencing any real discomfort.
