The weekend of service continued today as 896 answered a 2 alarm hotel fire at 2380 W Northwest Hwy. First arriving companies found heavy smoke and fire showing from the rear pool area of the building. Late evening for Box 4 as we received a special call to assist at a brush fire in the woods near Bonnie View Rd & Cleveland St. Large brush pits pushed up by a developer were burning threatening to extend far into the woods despite all the rain we’ve received. A special call for rehab on the west side of town late last night sent 896 to 11312 Mathis St. E30 declared a working fire prior to arrival and once onscene discovered heavy smoke and fire showing from a paint shed/booth next to the main structure.
