introducing @BodyBuddyCoach - an accountability coach that texts you everyday for your health & nutrition.
here's why I'm building it:
three years ago I was the most out of shape I'd ever been. sluggish, low energy. I figured it was just getting older.
i hired an accountability coach. every morning he'd text: "what's your plan for food and exercise today?" every evening: "how'd it go?"
within a year I lost 25 lbs and was in the best shape of my life. just having someone asking every single day made me actually stick to my word and stay consistent.
but it cost $300/month. for most people that's simply too expensive to try. I started wondering: what if AI could replicate the same daily accountability without the steep price tag?
i honestly wasn't sure. but one early user told us it was "the best success I've ever had in this area." another lost 7 lbs in the first month and said they "couldn't recommend it highly enough".
so I'm going all in on BodyBuddy. and my original coach loved the idea so much he joined me.

@anabology this is the end state of 'living a healthy lifestyle' but most people are not there and so it requires work.
healthy lifestyle = doing / eating things you actually enjoy that also are healthy.
we can make it easier to but people still have to make the choice.

My fitness journey:
- Was an exceptional high school 200m, 400m runner. 21.9 in the 200m.
- Ran division 1 track for two years. Very average. Didn’t train hard. Partied. Ran 48 seconds in 400m. Wanted to run 46 but didn’t dedicate myself.
- Got fat from 20-24. Drank so much.
Step 1. Get a workout plan (from anywhere - ChatGPT, trainer, wherever)
Step 2. Try to follow it alone
Step 3. Quit by day 12
