Police say there’s no evidence Erin was hunted or specifically targeted. It appears to have been random and unprovoked. Seconds earlier, Cisneros had stabbed a 68-year-old man in the abdomen. Officers confronted her, ordered her to drop two knives and tried Tasers. Police say she threatened to kill them and kept advancing. Officers opened fire. Erin later died at the hospital. A normal day. A random encounter. A life gone in seconds. That’s what makes this so horrifying.
