Bittensor will eventually outperform every other chain. I say this confidently because it’s one of the few networks that is truly adaptable. You can integrate almost any industry into it. Score alone has already integrated at least three into the network. That's the whole concept of Reed's law The fact that TAO doesn’t just connect users. It connects subnets, and each subnet is its own mini-network, product, and economy. So value doesn’t only grow from more people joining. It grows from: • More subnets launching • Subnets collaborating • Subnets building on top of other subnets • New sub-groups forming inside the ecosystem So the next time you complain about price, think about this

#DSperse (#SN2 in #Bittensor, by @inference_labs ) is one of the higher-quality “real-technology” subnets on Bittensor (credible technical thesis, active OSS shipping cadence, and a clear mission: verifiable inference / proof-of-inference). The tooling moat: DSperse (open-source zkML slicing/orchestration) The DSperse toolkit supports: + Model slicing (ONNX) + Layered inference across slices + ZK proof generation backends including JSTprove (default) + EZKL + Fallback logic (backend fails → try alternative → fallback to ONNX) This is important because #ZKML proving is bottlenecked by: + compilation/circuitization, + proof time, + operational complexity, + and hardware heterogeneity. If DSperse becomes “the standard pipeline” for subnet proofs, SN2 has a credible claim to being critical infrastructure for the Bittensor ecosystem. SN2 is pushing Proof-of-Weights: use #ZK proofs to prove validators actually ran the scoring function (vs copying weights), with on-chain verification and penalties for invalid proofs. This directly targets a core Bittensor failure mode: validators can free-ride by weight copying, creating centralization and extraction. SN2’s own research write-up explains why existing mitigations can be circumvented and motivates Proof-of-Weights. Even if you ignore token price, this is “core protocol-adjacent” work. Subnets that become #security #primitives tend to have longer longevity than “single app” subnets. Will DSperse capture value beyond subsidy? Yes, only if: + Verified inference is a “must-have” for on-chain AI, agents, and auditability: If AI outputs drive value transfers (DeFi, autonomous agents), then verifiability becomes non-negotiable. + DSperse becomes the default zkML toolchain for subnets (and possibly beyond Bittensor), and SN2 becomes the proving #backbone. + Proof-of-Weights becomes adopted at protocol or multi-subnet level, making SN2’s primitives structurally important.

Emissions are deterministic. Alpha pricing is a free market. When $TAO moves down, people expect everything to fall with it. But dTAO doesn’t work like that. If demand for a subnet stays strong, its alpha can actually reprice up in $TAO terms, even while $TAO itself is correcting. That pushes the sum of alpha prices higher. Important distinction: Emission weights = always sum to 1.0. That’s fixed protocol math. Alpha prices = pure market behavior. They can be 0.9, 1.2, 2.0… whatever demand decides. So when you see the sum go above 1. You’re not looking at emissions. You’re looking at price discovery across competing intelligence markets.
