I'm curious: what is the social, organisational or personal obligation to those that are displaced by #futureofwork influences. Is it the individual, society or organisation (or a mix), who is responsible for developing capabilities that add greater value in the new world?
What should the contemporary operating model for NZ businesses look like? This is my research question - who do you know in a C suite role of a mid/large business (preferably a CEO or COO) that would be willing to give me 45-60 mins to explore this with me?
If the need for change is about our dissatisfaction of the current state, and we have a vision of a new reality, then why is this converted into an event? How can we work in an evolving workplace rather than being continuously impacted by change events? #changejustis
Jack Ma said different age groups should focus differently to benefit from work; 20-30 find a good boss to learn from; 30-40 just get on with it; 40-50 do something they're good at, not new things; 50-60 train others and build the next generation; 60+, go enjoy your grandchildren
Why do we force people to work in ways that don't suit their flow? We're still trying to create opportunities for balance by giving staff time out, less working hours, better environments or work from home. Often without changing anything about the job they do.
I've noticed that most people aren't very good at stakeholder management - they won't lean into the relationship and test their thinking or try to bring people on a journey - why is that? What's your take on it?
