The chart below compares today's forward SOFR curve to last week. The curve has shifted downwards ~25 bps and the market is expecting that 1-month term SOFR will decline to 3.75% by year-end. The next Fed meeting is on Septemer 17th and investors are pricing in a 93% chance of a 25-bp rate cut. This is all being driven by the employment data released last Friday that revised the May and June payrolls downwards by 258K jobs.
