Meditating on 1st Thessalonians 3 this morning and decided to share a few thoughts about it in case it brought someone special to you to mind. “For now we live, if you are standing fast in the Lord.” Who would that be to you?
@BethMooreLPM My husband is resigning his pastorate. Our church will likely dissolve. Those years of service & all the years leading up to it boil down to this verse. In the sadness of the closing chapters, God uses the ones who stand to breathe life back into us for the next season. ♡
@BethMooreLPM A young man came to our youth ministry and became a believer. He had a difficult family situation and lived with us for a while. He grew in his faith, became a youth volunteer and then leader, and is now married, has a good job, and is walking with Jesus. I thank God for Kevin.
@BethMooreLPM gotquestions.org/Lord-said-to-m… Here is a good explanation of the different uses of the English translation of Lord in the Bible. In your verse? Absolutely it’s referring the the Lord as God.
@BethMooreLPM So special to hear your voice reading scripture. Thank you. I’m spending time with a young niece today so the timing of this is perfect! ❤️🙏
@BethMooreLPM I love Eugene Peterson’s paraphrase, “In the middle of our trouble and hard times here, just knowing how you’re doing keeps us going. Knowing that your faith is alive keeps us alive.“
@BethMooreLPM Sister this is so good! I think about my dear Fathers & Mothers in the faith, many of whom are watching from the balcony of heaven; I know they’re pleased to see I’m still standing FIRM in the faith! Also, for the ones I have had the privilege of pouring in to, I’m so blessed!
