Please don’t act like everyone loved my father then or authentically honors him today. He was assassinated. A 1967 poll reflected that he was one of the most hated men in America. Most hated. Many who evoke him today to deter justice would have likely hated him then.
@BerniceKing @deardrewdixon Repeat. Retweet. Never forget. “If history teaches us anything, it’s that Hitler could never have accomplished his atrocious deeds by himself. It took hundreds of thousands of ordinary men to make the Third Reich possible."
@BerniceKing So... What you're saying is that no matter how many loved him, the FEW who hated him are all that matters?? Do I understand that correctly? You do understand that's the driving thinking behind the racists? They're the only ones that matter.
@BerniceKing Wow. I was raised (R) on Iowa farm then. Don't think most (R) felt that way. I remember my folks agreeing with judging character, not skin color. Too bad that's no longer being preached anymore. We've really stepped backwards since the Obama's, and I don't understand why.
@BerniceKing Four points. -MLK was a Christian minister who espoused the teachings of Jesus Christ. -He was a political target of the FBI. -He was a (R) Republican voter. -He was assassinated by a (D) Democrat voter.
@BerniceKing He was assassinated BY THE FBI! When we say "king" to compliment men, it is your last name, not the monarchist title.
@BerniceKing Your father was a modern prophet, a man who saw the goodness in others long before they were willing to see the same in him.
@BerniceKing One of the brightest men I have read about. He did not divide he pulled people together with his voice, passion and beliefs. I would love to see what he could do for the people right now! Damn we need a Hero! No lies, No agenda, just the love for unity to do the right thing
@BerniceKing #FoodForThought I’m guessing their was a kinder way of getting that point across Although I agree with your message. Take care❤️☮️
@BerniceKing @NAACP You at most knowledgeable. But your father is a tool, not used and the implementation of gays, racism and segregation is now modern. What do when a voice of a representative of God quietens the rhetoric chaos with vigor. I love him. Happy Sunday!
