Extremely excited to share one of my final PhD projects on @ChemRxiv! We take dynamic zirconocene chemistry to the limit, ultimately making a nanocarbon so large and entangled we ended up defining a new class of molecular topology to best describe it! shorturl.at/kqsv3 1/8
We’ve previously shown that zirconocene coupling is a powerful and underutilized dynamic C-C bond forming reaction. Here we use it to rationally design a series of conjugated cages of increasing topological complexity in uniformly high yield and scalable fashion. 2/8
