The developers who get the most leverage from AI won’t be the ones arguing about which model is best. They’ll be the ones who understand the strengths of each model and combine them effectively. My current stack is simple: Claude for architecture. Codex for execution. Both open at the same time. That’s where the real productivity gains are.

The best workflow I’ve found is using them together. Use Claude to think. Use Codex to build. Use Claude to challenge assumptions. Use Codex to execute. Ironically, this often works out cheaper than trying to force one model to do everything.
