I've been waiting a long time for this: @IrishEnergyBot's green shaded area finally climbed over the demand line, very early one morning last month. 📈📈📈
During the wee hours on August 12 renewables (wind + biomass/biogas + hydro) exceeded 100% of electricity demand for a few hours. We suspect this has been happening (very) occasionally since at least early 2022 but this is the first time we can confirm it happening.
@jmmv I've been using it with Backblaze for a couple of years now. Occasionally, it will take ages to sync a file for no obvious reason but 99% of the time it "just works" (the highest praise!).

Yesterday afternoon's mini-hackathon: discovering Eirgrid now publishes solar generation date for the ROI, and augmenting our scraper and graphs to include same. Decent payoff in terms of interest, even during these dark days for Twitter. Folks love new data!

@tetsujin1979 Oh good to know! Reading up on it more, seems like a whole bunch of accounts have been semi-randomly suspended - unclear that it's entirely on purpose. If I can find out more, I'll of course share.

Almost exactly two years later, I can finally confirm that the iPhone 12 Mini *is* great for roaming. Also, in the meantime I discovered the difference between the CN and "everywhere else" models: no eSIM support on the CN model.
Looking ahead a bit, some notes on the iPhone 12 Mini and roaming. Last time in China, I was stuck with 2G - more and newer LTE bands were a big motivation to finally migrate off the SE! TL;DR: roaming won't be an issue with the 12 Mini.
