Seeing quite a bit of push back towards the Bears taking a punter at 122. I'll defend Ryan Poles on this choice all day. There's nobody else on the board he could realistically see as having top 5 in the NFL at his position potential, except Tory Taylor. 100% the right pick!
Hot take: I do not understood why a contingent of Bears fans are enamored with Justin Fields-the person. I'm guessing that he has tons of personally, but he never let it out in public. Caleb will be infinitely more fun to root for as a player AND person than Justin Fields.
I can safely say that I've never seen a punter have as much influence over the outcome of the game as Tory Taylor had in Iowa's victory of my Badgers last year. Wonderful pickup.
Hot take: the Bears have a need at defensive line in 2025, NOT 2024. They aren't winning the Super Bowl. The only needs they have this year are players who can help their rookie QB.

I'd be surprised if Carolina's 2025 second remains with the Bears after tonight.
Mike Evans and Davonte Smith are the only two WRs drafted 7 through 10 since 2000 who haven't busted. Rome will be the third. His combination of intelligence, size, athleticism, route running skills, versatility, & (by all accounts) drive give him at least a solid #2 floor.
Any "Bears fan" who actively shat on Caleb Williams during the Fields debate must either sincerely apologize or be excommunicated.
