Op-ed calling for ceasefire in the @PittJewishChron. jewishchronicle.timesofisrael.com/we-must-call-f…
The editor’s note is a model of journalistic standards. I say this as the former publisher of Forbes Magazine. Hamas provides statistics the the same way Putin points to his electoral majorities — to influence public opinion. Above all, it highlights the obvious — every ceasefire rally has failed due to Hamas. Israel has offered numbers of agreements predicated on the release of the hostages. The logical conclusion? Hamas gains more from promoting home-brewed stats than in giving the people of Gaza some peace.

@Barb4PGH @PittJewishChron A very thoughtful and well said piece, excellent work. Thank you for caring about this issue and using your voice and influence to call for a lasting ceasefire and peace ❤️
@Barb4PGH @PittJewishChron Let's be clear. Hamas controls Gazans' wellbeing, and uses money coming in to build illegal tunnels into Israel and buy weapons to launch continually against Israelis. They want imprisoned killers back for hostages! Yet comments here disparage Jewish heritage, not Hamas. Racism?
