@lorelixenberg That moment at the end of Maher 2, I don’t think you’ll ever feel like that listening to internet music on some small speakers… but I do think there are beauties in latency-rich networked collaboration that are impossible in an in-person setting ❤️
@lorelixenberg We’ve formed online, exploring the ways that latency transforms live chamber music. I think the moment you stop expecting internet music to be like live music or recorded music, but in reality something different and new, you suddenly discover some wonderfully new things!

@SKShlomo You've done a great job cleaning it up; I suppose the reverb helps? We've used Source-Connect Now as a monitor while everyone records locally (think recorded live concert vibes) Zoom seems to prioritise one audio stream at a time which isn't great for the baroque music we've done

Came across this quote from @carlorovelli. It’s about the conflict of language with an Einstein’s temporal ideas but it exactly frame the challenges we have when trying to perform live online with latency.
