@ophello @SzymonPrzepiora @allmeasures One interesting benefit: if someone else tests the same thing and gets a result, now we have this contradiction to resolve. Thought experiment: if 20 people test something, ~1 will get a significant result. If we knew about the failures, we'd flag the successes for replication.

@alwaysadblock I see. I didn't quite mean it like that. The thing is that the risk from fraud doesn't really come from how long it takes to count the ballots. If there is some secret stache of invalid ballots to be added to the count, that stache could just as easily show up on election night.

@colorblindk1d The Luddites tended to be right in the short term and wrong in the long term. I'm not sure how to minimize the disruption, but it would help a lot if someone did figure out now and start hiring the jobs enabled by the new technology.

@James32980438 No. The Republicans just aren't very good at it. They can't seem to thread the needle between "the claim sounds falsifiable with enough investigation" and "the claim isn't trivially falsified". The Democrats are so much better at that (see: Russian collussion).
