US Supreme Court weighs clash between free speech and gay rights bbc.in/3EWVJXu
@BBCWorld She should be allowed to discriminate however she pleases BUT she should also be prepared to deal with the repercussions of her actions. You can't force bigots and racists to be decent people. Just stop giving them money and give it to someone else who's deserving of it.
@BBCWorld It would be awful to make someone do something that goes against what is against their religious beliefs. That would be the government telling someone to commit a sin so someone else isn't offended.
@BBCWorld "We should all be free to live and work consistently with our deeply held beliefs." Teachers too, Ms Smith? so all that “don’t mention gayness or racial injustice in school” stuff should be tossed out too, right?
@BBCWorld The Bible says that Christians should follow the law of the land. So the bigoted Christian should adjust their views accordingly.
@BBCWorld Rights, notably non-discrimination rights and basic services rights
@BBCWorld Why would a ‘gay’ person have any more rights than anyone else ?
@BBCWorld Please phrase it correctly. This is a made up clash, more like a collusion by the Supreme Court right wingers and the wealthy donors they collude with.
