The Scottish government cannot hold an independence referendum without UK government’s consent, Supreme Court rules bbc.in/3V2zOF8
@BBCBreaking What if it’s only an advisory, non-binding referendum..?
@BBCBreaking We need to stop calling it a union, because it clearly isn't.
@BBCBreaking So a forced marriage then. Sounds healthy.
@BBCBreaking Scotland can hold a referendum, London just won't recognise it. Do it anyway.
@BBCBreaking Can you imagine if the eu said no to us over the brexist vote, we would have kicked off, and yet England has just denied Scotland a democratic vote on its own future. And yes people are allowed to change their minds as circumstances change
@BBCBreaking I’m sure Sturgeon will now make a dignified retreat and allow the matter to rest
@BBCBreaking Sturgeon will be bleating on this morning wanting to appeal to the galactic council for human rights
@BBCBreaking The UK government should allow it if it wants to still be considered as democratic. Most of the stay argument was based on EU membership not what exists now.
