Last year, with colleagues, we trained security officers in Jonglei states on bills of right and the procedure of arrest as per criminal procedure code Act. Some were surprised about the existence of such laws. they said, “we act according to orders in arresting people”. #SSX

Recently, there has been a discussion on the “additional” withdrawal charges by banks in SSD. This is as a result of the imposition of sales tax at 18% on financial services provided by banks. Sales tax is only paid by the final consumer (customer of the bank). #SSOX
