@MTMtweeting #Axanar’s claim it would’ve changed the Hollywood filmmaking paradigm is full of hot air. There is zero about fan films that reads as a legal and sustainable business model. It’s based on non-union crew labor, a largely volunteer workforce and exploiting IP you don’t own.

BREAKING @AlecPeters' attorney has withdrawn from defamation case against @mypauljenkins, citing conflict of interest over Peters' inability to pay legal fees. Peters & @AxanarFilm still on the hook for expected trial; Axanar can't be represented by Peters, only by a real lawyer.

@MTMtweeting As a producer I can tell you that just filming something doesn’t mean much. You’d be surprised how many independent productions get stuck in post production because of poor planning and bad financial management, unable to finish. Which pretty much is textbook #Axanar.
