Georgiev has a history of being average for the majority of time. The problem now is that Avs have made a decision to not spend big on goalie in order to spend big on D instead, and right now they are NOT getting the Defense they are paying for. Absolutely bleeding HDCA.

@AvsRobin HDCA was even last night. Oettinger had to make big saves at the end of the game and he did, georgiev doesn’t ever make big saves.
@AvsRobin Only bleeding chances the last week or so. The D core has been good all season.
@AvsRobin Thank you. The story should be the play of the D core and team defense
@AvsRobin All these georgiev haters he leads the league in wins and only has 7 regulation loses
@AvsRobin It’s like we are waiting for Georgie to show us something that he has never been.
@AvsRobin These are both good points. The key to great goaltending is having a short memory. Georgiev never seems to bounce back after a bad performance. Whenever Roy has a performance like Georgiev had against the Oil, you knew his next start was a W, if not a shutout.
@AvsRobin That's about it right there. The Avs won the Cup with average goaltending because the elite defense limited chances. They decided to stay with that strategy but it doesn't work when the defense aren't playing to their expected level.
@AvsRobin 100%, you can have bad defense, you can have a bad goalie. You in fact cannot have both! You have to pick one
