Two Of The Fastest U.S. Sealift Ships Trapped By Baltimore Bridge Collapse The blocked entrance to the Port of Baltimore has stranded a total of four cargo ships that are on call to support U.S. military operations. Story: twz.com/sea/two-of-the…
@Aviation_Intel Getting that downed bridge out of the way should be job #1.
@Aviation_Intel This is why there are tunnels, not bridges, around the Norfolk Naval base.
@Aviation_Intel The Navy is really good at demolition, if they want the bridge cleared they can do it ... fast
@Aviation_Intel If I was the President I would have already order military resources and the Corps of Engineers to the area with the direction to clear the collapse and open a navigable waterway immediately. Move the NTSB out of the way.
@Aviation_Intel It’s obvious to the vast majority of people that this was a terrorist attack! @laralogan details it perfectly in her recent analysis! We need to prepare for what may happen next!
@Aviation_Intel I'd think if there's a need to get the Algols moving it'll probably take longer to ready them than to clear the channel. Clearing the span can't take that long in an emergency. And I think old steam turbine powered ships may be a struggle to work up in five days.
