Jon Wang told Fox News that he wasn't admitted into six highly competitive universities because of Affirmative Action. I did an analysis of the racial makeup of each school he applied to. You might (or might not) be shocked at what I found. wp.me/paIctB-Ikq
@AuthorRandallB Seems to me, after looking at the numbers, he wasn't good enough for any of his choices WITHIN CANDIDATES OF HIS OWN RACE How did they gas him up to be mad at a demographic that didn't reach double digits at ANY of those schools? 🗣️ THE CALL IS COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE 🗣️
@AuthorRandallB Exactly 💯 !! Affirmative action started actually weeding out the mediocre privileged and forced them to make space for the academically deserving. They don't want that conversation
@AuthorRandallB Thank you. Research continues to make clear that White women benefit disproportionately from Affirmative Action, across the board. Whenever, someone says different it is a racist dog whistle.
@AuthorRandallB There has been no race-based admissions in California public universities for quite some time now. Fact is, almost all applicants to highly-selective unis have nearly-identical stellar academic records, so admissions are mostly based on personal statements.
@AuthorRandallB I think the logic they cling to is that no Black applicant is worthy but they still get in. The student feels like if he were Black even with his sub top-tier application then admission would be automatic. So even pointing out the real numbers means nothing to their racist logic.
@AuthorRandallB 6% of the US population (asians) represent 35% of acceptances in most colleges, conservatives are trying to convince people that the group who has been here longer, endured and fought through hardships longer is privileged while representing the minority in every college. Smdh
@AuthorRandallB And yet, this SCOTUS is likely to end Affirmative Action based upon what this kid was *told* by a white supremacist advocacy group. Facts be damned.
@AuthorRandallB If all else fails, blame Black people. 43% of white Harvard students are legacy, donor kids, staff kids, or athletes. 75 % of those would have been rejected if their parents were not wealthy &/or alumni. x.com/fly_sistah/sta…

@AuthorRandallB Affirmative Action was not practiced in California since 1996. Those schools rejected him but race had nothing to do with it.
@AuthorRandallB I also would be willing to bet that ALL he brings to the table is an inflated GPA and high test scores (which many elite schools no longer require). That isn't what these schools are looking for - they're looking for kids with that "something extra," not just good grades.
