I am deeply appalled and angry to see “Firework” used on the @WhiteHouse TikTok account as a backing track for video footage of military strikes. I did not approve this, I was not asked, and I absolutely do not condone it. I wrote this song to be an anthem of hope, healing, and inner strength for people going through their darkest personal moments. To see a message of self-worth and upliftment weaponized to soundtrack destruction and violence is a complete violation of everything my song stands for. My music is for bringing people together, not celebrating warfare.

Andy was my daughter's partners best friend. She said ages ago, he is the sweetest person she knows. He was funny, sweet & obviously extremely talented. A Clovelly local as well (Bowlo). We laughed that she didn't know Cold Chisel etc as she wasn't born then... he was also funny!
Our much-loved sax player of more than 30 years, Andy Bickers, passed away this morning after a hard fought battle with cancer. Andy was our brother: an incredible musician and a great person to be out on the road or out on the town with. Our hearts break for Lisa and Rudy.
