TONIGHT! The Planet Mars is at its closest point, It won't get this close again for another 15 years in 2035. You can see it in the east now and it will get higher and more southerly as the evening moves on. Look for an incredibly bright reddish orange star like object. #Mars

If you look towards the E/SE sky right now, you are able to see the #moon and #Mars relatively close together. Tomorrow they will be far apart again so make you look up tonight. #Marsandthemoon #Nasa

If you haven’t already YOU NEED TO look towards the SE/S sky you should be able to see #Mars next to the #moon. What an absolutely beautiful sight. This is why I love the night sky 🌌🚀 #Nasa #Marsandthemoon

In addition to the stunning moon and wonderful #PerseidsMeteorShower Mars Jupiter and Saturn are all visible in the night sky. Jupiter is the brightest out of all 3 with Saturn to its left. What an amazing night #lightning #PerseidsMeteorShower #heatwaveuk #Mars #Jupiter #Saturn

@nickpchurch @kirsti_77 Keep looking. Also do have a lot of light pollution where you are? Also if you don’t see any tonight tomorrow and Thursday have high meteor rates so you can see them then aswell 👍🏻
