#vss365 #coin We'll decide our path with a coin toss, we say. Heads, we head into the future, tails, we walk into the past. H e a d s Oh, how we think time flies. But it doesn't, really. The more we travel further, the more things look the same. It's like walking through a hall of mirrors, watching ourselves watching ourselves remain the same even as we make progress. But these new years are happy to see us. We're glad you made it till here, they say. Now tell us, if there was anything you could change in how we turned out, what would it be? T a i l s The bygone years welcome us with much fanfare. They're simply happy to see someone who's moved ahead come back. Remembrance, they say, is so important. We're glad you kept us in your memory. And walked back into forgotten lanes to find us again. While we are happy too, we're also surprised. Surprised to see how much our memory has mislead us. Visiting old milestones is like walking past a lake into which we'd thrown pebbles, causing the waters to ripple. The ripples have disappeared into the waters now. All we see is a still surface, in which our reflections look much different than we remember. That was heady. A moment is enough to think about so much. We get back to business. We toss our coin. It lands on its razor thin edge. Looks like our path is destined to remain here, looped in on itself. Where are we going? Nowhere.
@ArvindIyer15 @derickijohnson Wow! Arvind this is a wonderful write and I’ve felt that way myself a time or two. 👏👏👏
