Well, Guardians... We thought that the closer we got to the 9th, the easier it would become to accept all of this. But we were wrong. The desire for Destiny 2’s story to continue is simply too strong. This game remains frozen in time, carrying such an enormous amount of unrealized potential. It deserves to keep growing, to uncover old mysteries and create new ones. Actually feeling this much sadness over a game might seem foolish. But for many of us Destiny became far more than just a game. It holds our memories, our triumphs and disappointments, our friendships, our community. So many artists began their journey by sketching Destiny characters and worlds. Streamers found their calling through it. Lore enthusiasts found theirs. And all of us lived in this separate, cozy world of incredible gunplay, wonder, and cosmic magic, a world that felt both small and unimaginably vast at the same time. Few hours before the release of the final live-service update for the game that brought all of us together. The final update. It will mark the beginning of the end of something deeply important to many of us. And that is... simply heartbreaking. If we were granted a single wish by Riven, let it be this: may Sony announce Destiny 3. But we keep going. We continue, just as Destiny taught us. We carry our Light forward through time. We fight against the Darkness. No matter what comes next, we are grateful for every person we met along this incredible journey. Every random teammate in a strike. Every ally and every opponent in PvP. Everyone who helped us clear raids. And the countless, countless Guardians beyond that. You are amazing. As Ikora’s voice actress once said: “We are made of the moments we refuse to let go of.” And remember this: the real continuation of Destiny right now is in every friend we were fortunate enough to meet across this vast universe illuminated by the Traveler’s Light. To commemorate everything that’s happening, we created a limited edition run of miniature Ace of Spades replicas, presented in a velvet box together with a display stand. The hand cannon is 8 cm long, and it’s surprisingly moving to hold in your hands in person. A perfect way to decorate the places where a full-sized replica simply wouldn’t fit.
