This is an insane thing to say about Democrats in general, but especially during an administration whose expanded healthcare subsidies brought the uninsured rate to the lowest it has ever been in US history It was 10.9% (and climbing!) under Trump and is now 7.7%
@ArmandDoma It’s 7.7% because of red states that haven’t implemented Medicaid expansion. Could be much lower with current laws if people just voted blue.
@ArmandDoma I mean he’s probably right. Most prefer having power over any single issue. Can we get some posts on malfeasance of the cartel?! When AMA and AHA came out behind ACA, it was clear Care would not be allowed to become “Affordable.”
@ArmandDoma False equivalences between seemingly unrelated and potentially provocative choices may serve well to rally up the most committed of the party base, but tend to fall flat outside of that narrowly scoped discourse.
@ArmandDoma Shaun pays no price for a Republican victory (he’s not even American!) and he has every financial incentive to want Trump to win so that there’s more polarization, political engagement, which ultimately means more YouTube money for him!
@ArmandDoma Ironically, backlash to implementing universal healthcare in the short term would probably result in a Trump blow out…
@ArmandDoma Yeah meanwhile Pete and many others called for medicare for all who want it, ie the German system, but that won't be good enough either.
@ArmandDoma ah yes, modern twist on a classic "man invents fictional scenario and then gets angry about it" story
@ArmandDoma ‘More people have insurance’ is not a contradiction to the point, which is Biden saying he would not sign a universal healthcare bill.
