Happy Friday. Name me a new car that is absolute landfill.
@Carpervert Everything electric. No, not because I'm anti-EV but because they will simply be uneconomical to repair in future.
@therealmushy @Carpervert Complete bullshit. You also can't power you gasoline car with solar panels can you? No tail-pipe emissions, potential to be able to powered completely by green energy, batter recycling and so much more is why EVs are the future. You ARE anti-EV 😂 cnbc.com/2021/07/26/lif…
@ArchitSasta @Carpervert I'm not anti-EV, I'm anti-lithium mining for batteries. When hydrogen comes or synthetic fuels I'll be the first in line.
@therealmushy @Carpervert Apart from what John said, you should also remember the phone you are using right now has a lithium ion battery, almost every tech device uses and needs it, cars will just be an addition to it, infact cars will push us to innovate batteries and making them greener eg; recycling
@ArchitSasta @Carpervert Yes valid point. My overarching concern is the relentless consumption, mostly in the name of staying fashionable amongst people we don't know. Replacing a phone every 3 years instead of 1 should be the norm, along with replacing the car every 10 years instead of the leased 3.
@therealmushy @Carpervert I agree wholeheartedly with you on that, but also keep in mind what if we as humanity, keep driving gas cars those 10 years? Even if you don't, the buyer of the car who you sell it to will keep it running, it's a cycle. And it would be much better if it's electric.
@ArchitSasta @Carpervert Then yes I agree. I do think electric is a short term fix though. What the long term one is I've no idea because if I did I wouldn't be typing this. Essentially it seems to be a plug (no pun) while we continue to search for the ideal solution (ie, true zero carbon footprint)
