I’m not sure I would have expected this ahead of time, and maybe it’s just the shock of it, but I think the Aaron Jones release may have been the toughest release of my Packers fandom. I think I was just so sure he’d be back I didn’t even remotely let my mind go elsewhere.
@AndyHermanNFL "Absolutely." Gute when asked if Jones would be back. Didn't even hesitate. Yeah, I wasn't ready.
@AndyHermanNFL This one hurts way more than Rodgers and Adams.
@AndyHermanNFL 💯 agree. We did come ahead with Jacobs in terms of talent and age but lost a true what-it-means to be a Packer
@AndyHermanNFL Still Jordy for me, but this one hurts. I had a bad feeling this was coming when I saw the Jacobs news…
@AndyHermanNFL I like you guys… But this is a 29 year old football player (RB). I have vets/parents that have passed on…kids that have been sick…friends that have committed suicide. It’s just a 29 yr old RB…getting released. Normal. I love Aaron Jones, too…the drama is over the top.
@AndyHermanNFL For me it was the Charles Woodson release I was definitely hurt.
@AndyHermanNFL I legitimately dropped to my knees. It was the most visceral reaction to a tweet I’ve ever had. I was so sure he’d be back, I was starting to think about how they’d use both Jones and Jacobs and all the crazy shit they’d do… then I was heartbroken. Dude deserved to forever in GB
@AndyHermanNFL I had a buddy @AJGerdes basically not even enjoy the other signings because he was so mad/sad. It is easily the hardest one I can remember for what you can say and he is basically just he favorite player, for a variety of reasons, of so many.
