Aaron Rodgers, on his way out of Green Bay, just helped out the Packers franchise immensely. The Jets fan base is now at a fevered pitch, just waiting for management to do this deal. Packers have no timetable, no need to hurry, can just wait for the Jets to cave to their price.
@AndrewBrandt @AndrewBrandt realistically what’s the the comp for Rodgers? Picks
@AndrewBrandt I think you’re backwards on this. Jets don’t have to over pay for him. That will leave GB on the hook for 60 mil.
@AndrewBrandt Could also see it as packers have no leverage, he isn’t going back to play for the packers, so they can get something or they can get nothing.
@AndrewBrandt @Rachel__Nichols What if Rodgers doesn’t get traded so he decides to retire? That leaves the Pack with nothing
@AndrewBrandt Rogers knows the offense. No rush for him either
@AndrewBrandt Jets know they have their guy they can wait as long as they like as well. It works both ways. You can actually make the argument that now that he wants to play the Packers HAVE to move him now.
@AndrewBrandt Andrew, way off on this one. Jets can wait it out, no way ARod will interview with other teams to trade for after GB cant accept a trade with the Jets; and then the cap hit becomes a huge gamble for GB. Interview basically put GB on the clock; Jets have no need to rush. Its done
