And a shout out to my hometown of Fort Wayne, IN (Allen County Public Library, which is wisely not on Twitter), which has a 2-story "underwater" playground with real fish tanks in the Main Branch!
@mollyfleck Yes, *only* at the main branch. ACPL is a *massive* system with a baker's dozen of branches. I'm across the border in Defiance, there's no way the library here could support something like that. You're not listening to the people who actually work at the libraries.
@factory_femme @mollyfleck ACPL doesn't have underwater anything anymore. Lol
@AngelaLovesNY @factory_femme @mollyfleck Yeah @ACPL is great but there is one play structure for like 6 and under in the children’s department at main branch. There is nothing currently in children’s services that could be called a playground. StoryScape has a lot for imaginative play, but not a trampoline or slide.
@AngelaLovesNY @factory_femme @mollyfleck @ACPL @FortWayneParks does have an indoor playground at McMillen Park Community Center that is $1! Parks departments are the answer to public indoor gross motor play!
