There's a myth about Chief Rabbi Adler advising Queen Victoria to give birth on a warship so the heir would be British. Obviously not needed b/c of the 1705 Sophia Citizenship Act. But why was that Act needed at all? Was the 1701 Act of Settlement not enough? @legalstyleblog
