Yesterday in Tehran, Dina Ghalibaf, a courageous 30-year-old journalist, bravely spoke out against sexual harassment by the morality police. Today, they raided her home and arrested her. She was stopped in Tehran’s subway for not wearing a hijab and was violently dragged into a room at Saadeghieh metro station, where she endured sexual assault and was handcuffed. Despite the ordeal, she bravely exposed them on social media. Now, her arrest raises concerns for her safety. Iranians urge an immediate halt to the Islamic Republic’s war against women, fearing more tragedies like #MahsaAmini’s murder in police custody. The international community must take a firm stand against gender apartheid regime in Iran. #UnitedAgainstGenderApartheid
@AlinejadMasih This includes the brave amazing women in countries like Iran 😡Iraq..Yemen..Jordan.. Saudi Arabia.. Kuwait..even Egypt and Lebanon where a lot of progress has happened for women .. the Arabic and Persian men are stuck in the 1800s w their horrible sexism and homophobia ugh SHAME!
@AlinejadMasih Islam should no longer be tolerated in this world.
@AlinejadMasih The religious fanatics running Iran will not moderate their positions, especially on women. They have 1,300 years of practice. The only solution for women is to leave Iran. Sorry. There are other better countries to live in.
@AlinejadMasih No one believes you AIPAC shill.
@AlinejadMasih @LAererna once you say Islamic, you said it all but Americans don't get it.
@AlinejadMasih @smilebehappyOO1 This is the administration that Biden sends billions of dollars to, with the expectation that it only be used for good. The US would do well with new leadership as a step to improving things in Iran...
@AlinejadMasih Dina is an inspiration. Such courage in the face of darkness. Which of course is why these evil men want to silence her. #FreeIran2024
@AlinejadMasih Imagine an Iranian underground where they start identifying 'morality' police individuals and convincing them to no longer be a threat.
