Can confirm @gerrydulac's reporting that Kenny Pickett's handling of the Russell Wilson signing was a factor in the @steelers' decision. He communicated to the team he was fine with competing for the job, then went the other way when Wilson was added. So he's gone.
@AlbertBreer @KDPomp @gerrydulac @steelers On one small hand, I get Pickett's frustration - got fewer than 6 qtrs post-Canada - then had to watch Rudolph get all the flowers from his teammates. On the other small hand, he's Kenny Pickett, not Tom Brady. He doesn't get to write his own ticket.
@AlbertBreer @DavidMTodd @gerrydulac @steelers Not much confidence if he doesn’t think he can beat out a 35 year old vet
@AlbertBreer @steelersdepot @gerrydulac @steelers Because it was apparent he wasn't going to be competing for the job. Steelers did him no favors from the start and good for him to move on.
@AlbertBreer @gerrydulac @steelers He still won't start.
@AlbertBreer @gerrydulac @steelers Wow... Dude is a baby.
@AlbertBreer @gerrydulac @steelers Steelers handled QB situation poorly past 3 years. Hope Kenny ballls out and beats us
@AlbertBreer @steelersdepot @gerrydulac @steelers Competition is good but there was no competition this job was going to be handed to Wilson
@AlbertBreer @KDPomp @gerrydulac @steelers Oh but he smiled eating pizza. Will he smile eating cheesesteak now?
@AlbertBreer @ThePoniExpress @gerrydulac @steelers Could Fields be an option?
