@SomervilleInfr1 The safety zones in the road offer no protection for pedestrians. There should be bollards there to afford some degree of protection, as is the case in other cities where such safety zones are implemented.

The developers are rapacious and don't care about the city, just the easiest way to a profit. I'd suggest a fine is in order, perhaps a stop work order and then they have to replant mature trees.

@laurieallee @BonnieMDenis We are losing over 30 people a month to Covid still and the infection rate is going up. This is the time we should be very cautious and prudent still. Practice best methods - social distance and masks. Covid kills and long Covid is forever.

@BonnieMDenis @lancedavis We have been advocating for repairs to make the Davis sidewalks and crosswalks accessible for many years and the council / mayor have ignored all representations. It is a major safety and disability access issue.

@KillTheCars That's a silly thing to say. We are all on the road together and we all need follow the rules and stay aware. Car / truck /suv drivers don't intentionally kill people nor do cyclists intentionally kill pedestrians (for the most part anyway). We all need cool down and grow up.
