Noticing lower scores in college football? Running clock is taking 40-60 total snaps away from games while they still take just as long on TV because they filled that time with ads. CFB is now a TV product. They have ruined the game. Many teams barely hit 50 offensive snaps.
As the season goes on, you will see some major upsets mainly because of the fact a real full game wasn’t played. TCU would not have made it to the national championship last year with these new running clock rules.
2022 FIU ran 74 plays against La Tech 2023 FIU ran 44 plays against La Tech 30 missing plays and that’s just one side of the ball! New rule is killing the game. Again, CFB is now a TV product.
For those pointing out the blowouts yesterday (Oregon vs P. State) those games are outliers because they are complete mismatches. FCS vs. P5? Oregon could of scored 200! Keep the sample size to actual competitive match ups which you are seeing 20-30 snaps lost by each team.

@AirRaidCert Sadly, we don’t have Mike Leach to shame them out of it like he did last time this was tried.
@AirRaidCert Nope. Oregon scored 81 points. FSU just scored 45. And I’m a casual viewer Oklahoma scored 70-something
@AirRaidCert Weren’t we told it was only gonna be 7-10 less total plays per game
@AirRaidCert Because of the contracts that were just handed out for realignment. Money has to come from somewhere.
