A very useful thread with some good tips.
Thread: Here are my top tips to having a controlled and calm classroom. Routines- establish a way of doing EVERYTHING. From entering to leaving to handing out workaheets, books, etc. There should be a procedure. DNA- every lesson should begin with one. A do now activity.
Finally home at 12.30 am after a 9.5 hour journey. But worth every minute #LOAM2018

@GWRHelp We had to stand in the rain for almost an hour waiting for the previous buses to complete their return journey. There were no more buses. Just hope there’s a train at Newton Abbot and a cup of tea with my name on it
